- Measure the length of the patio cushion from the front of the outdoor chair cushion to the back.
- Measure the width of the patio cushion from one side to the other. When measuring the width of a standard patio cushion, be sure to measure in 3 different places and take the smallest measurement (since your existing patio furniture cushions may be more worn in some areas).
- Measure the thickness of the seat. Remember that the outdoor chair cushion is worn so it might be flatter now. In general, wood furniture patio cushions are 2-3″ thick and aluminum furniture cushions are 3-5″ thick.

- Measure the length of the back of the seat cushion from the top of the cushion to the bottom of the cushion.
- Measure the width of the back of the patio cushion from one edge to the other. Remember not to measure from seam to seam, but from edge to edge.
- Measure the length of the seat of the outdoor chair cushion from one end to the other.
- Measure the width of the seat of the outdoor chair cushion from edge to edge.

- Measure the length of the back of the cushion from the top of the cushion to the first fold. Do not measure the entire back of the cushion, just to the first fold.
- Measure the length of the bottom half of the back of the cushion from the top fold to the bottom fold (where the seat portion of the cushion begins).
- Measure the length of the seat of the cushion from the fold to the end of the cushion.
- Measure for the width of the cushion from one edge of the seat of the cushion to the other. Be sure to account for any possible flattening that may have occurred over the years.

- Measure the length of the leg rest from the fold to the edge of the cushion.
- Measure for the length of the back of the cushion by measuring the top of the cushion to the first fold.
- Measure for the width of the sun lounger cushion by measuring from edge to edge on the end of the leg rest portion of the cushion.
- Get the width of the seat by measuring edge to edge.

Chaise lounge patio cushions are available for chaise lounges that have a “back” section, “seat” section and a “leg section” or for chaise lounges that have a back and a seat. If you have existing chaise lounge outdoor chair cushions, measuring for replacement cushions is easy. Note: When taking measurements, make sure you are measuring from edge to edge, not seam to seam. And remember to lay the existing steamer/lounger cushion flat on a hard surface such as the floor.

- Measure for the length of the back of the cushion by taking a measurement at the top of the cushion down to the fold of the cushion.
- Measure for the length of the seat of the cushion.
- Measure for the length of the leg rest at the top of the leg rest to the bottom of the cushion.
- To get the width of the cushion, measure from the edge of one side of the leg rest section of the cushion to the edge of the other side. It is important to measure for the width at the leg rest section because it is most likely the portion of the cushion that has been flattened the least.
Chaise Lounge Replacement Patio Cushions
- To get the length of the seat, measure from the fold of the seat to the end of the cushion. Make sure the measure end to end, not seam to seam.
- Measure the back length of the cushion from the top of the cushion to the fold.
- Measure for the width of the cushion by measuring end to end next to the fold on the seat of the cushion.

- Looking down on the cushion so your body is parallel to the length of the cushion (the shortest distance is the length), find the center of the cushion and measure the length of the cushion from end to end.
- Measure the width of the back of the cushion from end to end.
- Then measure the width of the front of the cushion from end to end.
